Move an event

To move an existing event to a different date and time, you submit a request.

Procedure 

  1. Go to My Home. From My Requests, select Event Requests.

  2. Select Edit / Delete event.

  3. From Date, select the date of the event you want to move.

    The system displays the schedule for the selected date in list view on the right side.

    Note the following:

    • To view the schedule for up to seven days before the selected date, scroll upward.

    • To view the schedule for to up seven days after the selected date, scroll downwards.

    • To view the schedule again for the selected date, select Return to the selected date at the top of the list view.

    • To view events for different dates, select a different date in the Date field.

    • For days that span multiple days, the start time is displayed on the date when the event starts, and the end time is displayed on the date when it ends.

  4. From Event, select the event that you want to move.

    The drop-down list displays the shift events and time of each existing event on the selected date.

  5. Optional: If you have the relevant permissions on the selected date, you can edit your event and the event for other attendees:

    1. From the Attendee in the event field, select the attendee you want.

      The schedule view updates to display their editable events for that date.

    2. Select the event you want to edit.

  6. From Action, select Move.

  7. Do one of the following:

    • To move the event forward, select Forward, and indicate the amount of time you want to move the event forward.

      For example, the event starts at 1:00 and you want to move it to 1:30. Select Forward and enter 30 minutes.

    • To move the event backward, select Backward, and indicate the amount of time you want to move the event backward.

      For example, the event starts at 9:00 and you want to move it to 7:00. Select Backward and enter 2 Hours.

    • To move the event to a specific date and time, select Custom, and enter the date and time to which you want to move it.

      For example, the event starts at 5/27/2023 at 10:00 AM, and you want to move it to 6/15/2023 at 2:30 PM. Select To, and select 6/15/2023 2:30 PM.

      You can manually enter the amount of time for the required action. The up and down arrows help to change the duration by multiples of the allowed values.

  8. Optional. In the Description field, enter any notes about the request.

  9. Select Submit.

    If your request is submitted successfully, the system displays a success notification message. If your request does not comply with the activated filter or depending on your sort configurations, you might not be able to see the notification.

    If your request is not submitted successfully, the system displays a message with the details about the errors.

    If you submit your request and the requested activity Core component of both schedules and time records in Workforce Management (WFM). When an employee performs any kind of work, activities specify the scheduled work and capture employee adherence to their schedule. has validations associated with it, the status is Pending processing alerts. After the validations have finished processing, the status changes to Pending.

    During any of these stages, you can withdraw or edit the request.

    Once your system administrator approves, denies, or the request is under review, you cannot edit or withdraw it.
