Submitting shift bids for auctions
In a shift Work period in WFM that has a definite length. bid auction, you can submit bids for employees for the shifts that they prefer to work.
The schedules you can select, and the number of requests you can submit for each auction, depend on the type of auction defined for the employee.
The types of auctions include the following:

Combination of Individual Shifts auction: Allows you to create a custom schedule by selecting one shift for each working day you want in the scheduling period. In this type of auction, you can select one or more bid options, but once the request is approved, if Continuous Bidding is not enabled, you cannot submit any additional bid requests. Before the request is approved (for example, if it's in a Pending state), you can submit a single request multiple times. (If Continuous Bidding is enabled, you can submit a single request multiple times.)

Multiple Shifts per Day auction: Allows you to create a custom schedule by selecting multiple shifts for each working day you want in the scheduling period. You can also add extra work time to an existing shift. Similar to the Combination of individual shifts auction, you can select one or more bid options, but once the request is approved, if Continuous Bidding is not enabled, you cannot submit any additional bid requests. Before the request is approved (for example, if it's in a Pending state), you can submit a single request multiple times. (If Continuous Bidding is enabled, you can submit a single request multiple times.)

Full Schedule Period auction: Allows you to select a fixed schedule for working and non-working days for the entire period. You cannot create a custom schedule for the scheduling period. Depending on auction configurations, you can either submit a single request or multiple requests that contain all of your selected bid options. (Only one request is approved.) Also depending on auction configurations, you can group bid options by similar attributes, such as shift start and end time, non-working days, primary shift activity Core component of both schedules and time records in Workforce Management (WFM).
