Step 2: Change the computer name, domain, or workgroup of an individual server

Step 2 is the second of three steps associated with changing the Windows computer name, domain membership, or workgroup membership of the managed servers in your enterprise.

This procedures in this step explain how to make any of the following changes on one managed server Server that is managed by the Enterprise Manager application.:

  • The computer name

  • The domain membership

  • Both the computer name and the domain membership

  • The workgroup membership

  • Both the computer name and the workgroup membership

If you are changing the domain membership of any of your servers, you must perform the procedure described in Step 1: Establish trust between the current domain and the target domain before performing this step.
