Recurring events
You can create a recurring series of calendar, time-off, and unavailability events. Instead of one single instance, a recurring event series includes multiple instances of the event that occur at a regular, defined interval. The recurring event series can have one or multiple attendees. Examples include meetings or training Semantic Intelligence (Si) process in Speech Analytics in which the system implements machine learning-based methods to extract and surface ontology-related items found in a sampling of transcribed interactions. sessions.
For recurring events, you can define the start date and time, and the end date and time of the event series. You can also define how often the event recurs. For example, you can define that a meeting recurs every three weeks on Monday at 8:00 AM.
Editing the whole event series or only specific instances in the series
You can edit a recurring event series in the same way you edit a single event. For example, you can modify a recurring meeting to now recur every three weeks on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
However, you can also edit a single instance of the recurring event series so that it has different attributes than the rest of the instances in the series. For example, you can modify this week's meeting only to be on Friday, while keeping the remaining instances in the series to recur on Tuesday.
When you modify a single instance in this way, you are creating an exception to the series. The system only updates the instance that you selected to modify. It does not update the remaining instances in the series. When you create an exception to a series, all future updates that you make to the series do not affect the exception. To edit the exception itself, you need to select it and update its attributes separately from the series.
Bulk edit multiple instances of recurring calendar events
For recurring calendar events only (not including floating calendar events, unavailability or time-off events), you can bulk edit the attributes of specific instances. At once, you can change the activity Core component of both schedules and time records in Workforce Management (WFM). When an employee performs any kind of work, activities specify the scheduled work and capture employee adherence to their schedule., duration, and start and end dates and times of these selected instances. This feature allows you to make the same changes to these instances quickly and efficiently.
