Licensing workflow for a system license

If you operate in a multi-tenant enabled environment, each tenant can be assigned its own license. New (unsigned) license creation during Fulfillment:
1. The licensing process begins with an initial unsigned license file that is generated after a customer order is placed. The license is then stored with a unique license reference number (LRN). In a multi-tenant SaaS environment, this license is obtained by the Service Provider Administrator.
2. For each order of the current release, customers receive a license letter that includes the LRN for that order through e-mail.
Installation: The customer’s solution is installed. For details on installation, see the Installation Guide.

During installation, the URL address is established, and a default administrator ID and password are created. You use this information to sign in to WFO during product activation.

If you do not know the sign in ID and password, request these details from your application consultant.
License registration key generation: During installation, a license registration key (RK) is generated. The RK is available on the license management page.
License activation: Upon completion of installation, the installer activates the license using the license web application. Both the unique license reference number (LRN) for the order and the registration key (RK) are required for the activation. This creates an active (signed) license file.

If there were multiple orders and thus multiple LRNs, each LRN needs to be activated separately.

During the license activation process, software items associated with a new LRN are merged with the latest activated license already in the customer’s system. Permanent and term One to five words that are meaningful to a specific type of business, or phrases that stand out in interactions in Speech and Text Analytics. licenses that contain an explicit expiration date are merged. Pilot and temporary licenses are not merged.

If there are multiple LRNs related to multiple orders, each LRN must be activated separately to achieve the final aggregated license file.
Product activation: To activate products, the installer signs in, and in the License administration page, uploads the newly activated license document and restarts the server.
